Understands the mission, goals, policies, and objectives of the company. Demonstrates ability to create and interpret policies and procedures and deliver decisions with authority and competence. Understands and is able to aid Directors in implementing the organizational growth strategy for the company. Works directly with Directors to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters and enables Directors to align organizational needs with capacity demand models. Develops organizational strategies by identifying and researching human resources issues; contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to organizational strategic thinking and direction; establishes human resources objectives in line with organizational objectives. Is a valued member of the company’s leadership committee and participates in the company’s forecasting and annual planning processes. Supports management by providing human resources advice, counsel, and decisions; analyzes information and applications. Annually reviews and makes recommendations to executive management for improvement of the company’s policies, procedures, and practices related to personnel matters; effectively communicates changes in company’s personnel policies and procedures and ensures proper compliance is followed. Assists executive management in the annual review, preparation and administration of the performance and merit review process and management incentive plan; recommends, evaluates, and participates in staff development for the company Advises the CEO of necessary actions and strategies to ensure harmony in the workplace, as necessary. Implements human resources strategies by establishing department accountabilities, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health, welfare and retirement benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations and retention, AA/EEO compliance, and labor relations. Oversees all aspects of Company’s HCM platform and payroll related matters and ensures compliance with all state and federal regulation. Establishes metrics for performance. Measures and evaluates performance based on a set of norms and standards. Up to 15% travel.
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field is required. MBA, Master’s in Human Resources, or related field preferred. PHR, SPHR or SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification. Minimum of 10 years of progressive Human Resource management experience. Experience managing an HR team desired. Experience in functional HR roles (compensation, talent management, organizational development) and field HR roles are desirable. Prior experience as a director or Vice President of Human Resources reporting to the C-level preferred. National/Multi-State experience preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office. HCM/HRIS experience required, UKG experience preferred. Payroll, benefits administration, including 401(k), experience required. Healthcare experience preferred. Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills Strong business acumen, customer focus and team orientation. Track record of delivering high quality results. Sound judgment, ability to balance business needs with the role of employee advocate. Change agent Strong analytical, problem solving, organization and decision-making skills.
