Director of Human Resources-Leadership Role in Growing Plastics Industry

Location: Crystal Lake, IL (No Relocation or Visa Sponsorship)
Experience: 10+ years at Director level
Education: Bachelors degree required
Compensation: $91,000 - $130,000

About the Role:
Reporting directly to the President, this role leads HR strategy and operations, including talent management, recruitment, compliance, employee relations, benefits, and safety. You'll be a key part of the executive leadership team driving organizational growth and culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the HR department, policies, and budget

• Develop recruiting, on-boarding, and retention strategies

• Oversee training, performance management, and development programs

• Administer benefits, payroll, and 401(k) plan administration

• Ensure legal compliance with labor laws, OSHA, EEOC, and safety regulations

• Support employee relations and conflict resolution efforts

• Drive organizational development initiatives and safety programs

Must Have:

• 10+ years of progressive HR management experience, with at least 3 years at Director level or above, demonstrating strong HR generalist skills

• Masters degree preferred, or Bachelors degree with commensurate experience in Business Administration or Human Resources; SPHR/PHR certification a plus

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization

• Proven ability to respond quickly to changing needs and requirements with diligence and high ethical standards

• Strategic thinker with the capacity to manage both detailed day-to-day HR operations and long-term planning

• Thorough knowledge of employment legislation and regulations
