This leadership role is responsible for maintaining the highest standards in diagnostic imaging, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and patient-centered care.

The Director of Imaging will manage all imaging personnel, oversee workflow efficiency, maintain quality assurance standards, build employee schedules, provide backup to absent employees, perform imaging services as needed, and support the integration of new technologies and best practices. This individual will participate in OrthoNOW rotations as a radiologic technologist. This individual reports directly to the Practice Director of McGinley Medical, PC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct oversight and leadership for all imaging modalities (CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and X-Ray).

  • Supervise and support technologists at both Casper and Gillette locations, including periodic on-site visits to Gillette Wyoming.

  • Develop and maintain efficient staffing schedules to ensure optimal coverage and productivity.

  • Perform imaging related studies within your appropriate licensure.

  • Act as a backup to absent employees or when the imaging center is back logged as needed to ensure timely patient appointments.

  • Assist with patient scheduling and registration as needed if imaging staff is unable.

  • Conduct annual staff performance evaluations and implement performance improvement plans (PIPs) when necessary.

  • Oversee employee onboarding, continuing education, and professional development.

  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, accreditation standards, and safety protocols.

  • Monitor imaging quality assurance programs and coordinate corrective action when performance falls below expected standards.

  • Collaborate with referring physicians and providers to maintain high levels of service quality and patient satisfaction.

  • Manage imaging equipment maintenance schedules and coordinate vendor service as needed.

  • Participate in budget development and monitor operational expenses for cost efficiency.

  • Serve as a liaison between clinical staff, administration, and support services.

  • Work with third party vendors including human resources.

  • Promote a positive work culture that emphasizes communication, teamwork, and professional accountability. Be a role model for this behavior.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience as a multi-modality Radiologic Technologist, with demonstrated expertise.

  • Minimum 3–5 years of progressive management or supervisory experience in a radiology or imaging department.

  • Current Wyoming Radiologic Technologist License (ARRT or equivalent) and licensing in at least one other Advanced Diagnostic Imaging Modality.

  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a multidisciplinary imaging team.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills with an emphasis on collaboration and follow-through.

  • Proficiency with PACS, RIS, and related imaging software systems.

  • Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care and diagnostic quality.

  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly to Gillette, WY, to oversee imaging operations at that location.

Working Conditions

  • Full-time, salaried position based in Casper, WY.

  • Routine travel (approx. 10–20%) required to the Gillette facility-anticipate at minimum 4-6 days per month. Additional days will be needed during the set-up of the Gillette practice and when new employees on-board.  Overnight stays and expenses will be covered by Company.

  • Participate in OrthoNOW coverage in a rotation—anticipate approximately one Saturday every 5-7 weeks and occasional 5-7PM shift. Subject to change.

  • Position may involve limited on-call responsibilities to support critical operations or equipment issues. This can include but is not limited to meeting repair technicians, covering unscheduled employee absences and having flexible hours to meet clinic needs.

  • Participate in management team including but not limited to management meetings, strategic planning and human resources needs.
