Director of Inclusion Support
This is a vacancy for the 26-27 school year with a target start date of July 1, 2026
Mission:
The National Director of Inclusion Support ensures high-quality inclusive programming and student achievement for students with disabilities served through Section 504, inclusion, resource, content mastery, and dyslexia programs. This leader will design, implement, and sustain a robust district-wide system of inclusive supports and services that ensures students with IEPs and 504 plans make meaningful academic progress and are on a trajectory toward grade-level mastery and postsecondary readiness. The Director will oversee national programming related to inclusion, resource, content mastery, dyslexia, and 504 coordination, leading with a commitment to compliance, instructional excellence, and equitable outcomes for all students. This position directly manages the National Dyslexia Coach and the National Special Education Coach, ensuring a cohesive and aligned approach to instructional support and compliance implementation across all regions.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises the National Dyslexia Coach and National Special Education Coach who is focusing on inclusion/resource programming.
Location:
This is a full-time position based in Texas, with preference given to candidates who live in Austin, El Paso, Houston, Permian Basin (Midland/Odessa), Rio Grande Valley, San Antonio, and Tarrant County (Fort Worth), or who are willing to relocate.
Travel Expectations:
Up to 25% travel, including visits to campuses and regions for program implementation, coaching, compliance support, and leadership development.
What You’ll Do – Accountabilities
Essential Duties:
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with the Managing Director of Assessment to support college readiness assessments (TSI, ACT, etc.)
· Work with the Special Education Transition Lead to align inclusion supports with transition planning and services.
· Partner with data and compliance teams to monitor student progress and ensure reporting accuracy for 504 and dyslexia programs.
· Develop and deliver training on 504 compliance, dyslexia mandates, and inclusive instruction to ensure alignment across states.
· Communicate program progress and needs through reports, presentations, and stakeholder updates.
· Collaborate with the National TIA/MTI team to create pathways and resources recognizing teacher excellence in inclusive instruction.
· Coordinate with national departments (Student Services, Human Assets, Regulatory Affairs, etc.) to develop tools, training, and accountability systems that strengthen inclusive programming.
Knowledge and Skills – Competencies
Additional Skills:
· Deep understanding of IDEA 2004, Section 504, and state dyslexia laws (Texas, Louisiana, Florida, Ohio).
· Expertise in inclusive instructional models (co-teaching, resource, content mastery).
· Strong knowledge of Response to Intervention (RtI), accommodations, and differentiated instruction.
· Experience with 504 compliance, including identification, evaluation, and accommodation development.
· Familiarity with Frontline e504 and other student data systems.
· Knowledge of scientifically based and developmentally appropriate instruction for diverse learners.
· Proven ability to design, deliver, and evaluate professional learning for teachers and leaders.
· Strong data analysis and program evaluation skills to drive decision-making.
· High emotional intelligence, integrity, and ability to collaborate effectively with leaders across functions.
· Dependability and consistency in meeting deadlines and expectations.
· Initiative and proactive problem-solving.
· Ability to manage multiple complex projects independently.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Collaborative and adaptive leadership style.
· Attention to detail and focus on achieving measurable student outcomes.
Required Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree required
· EC–12 Special Education Teacher Certification required.
· Minimum 5 years of experience in Special Education, including work in inclusion or 504 coordination roles.
· Experience in coaching or managing teams supporting inclusive or dyslexia programs.
· Demonstrated success in program design, compliance monitoring, and professional development.
· Technology: Proficiency in Office 365 Suite, Frontline e504, and related instructional software.
Preferred Education and Experience:
· Master’s degree preferred.
Physical Requirements:
· Sitting for extended periods of time.
· Lifting items weighing up to 20 lbs.
· Sedentary office environment with occasional exposure to outside elements.

Compensation & Benefits:
Salaries for people entering this role typically fall between $98,200 and $115,900 commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications and in alignment with internal equity. This role is also eligible for performance pay based on organizational performance and goal attainment.
