Job Description - Director of Information Technology

Our Client is a leading motor vehicle parts manufacturing business and top-tier supplier to the Automotive and eMobility industry who are looking to hire a Director of IT to provide operation leadership, technical direction and scalable solutions to the business's IT Infrastructure and Business Systems across both their technical centers and manufacturing facilities.

As the IT Director, you will be responsible for managing a small cross-function IT team across support services, infrastructure, and business systems ensuring smooth IT operations, overseeing teams and vendors, improving cybersecurity, analyzing requirements, implementing scalable solutions, and managing system rollouts. You will also handle budgeting, identify technology-driven efficiencies, establish processes and standards, provide guidance and training, and ensure compliance.

Responsibilities
Manage a broad portfolio of IT Infrastructure, business systems, product development, and manufacturing applications.
Ensure smooth delivery and operation of information technologies and services.
Manage the in-house IT team and oversee third-party providers.
Manage IT hardware infrastructure and improve cybersecurity.
Analyze business requirements for departments to determine their technology needs and implement robust scalable solutions.
Manage rollout of company-wide systems across multiple locations.
Develop, manage, and track the IT department's annual budget and licenses.
Identify opportunities to leverage technology to improve corporate efficiency.
Review technology requirements for systems to ensure consistency of delivery and a cohesive architecture.
Create processes and standards for selection, implementation, and support of systems.
Provide direction, guidance, and training to employees on various IT systems.
Fully understand, provide guidance, and administer Company policies and procedures accurately and consistently.
Manage the various compliance requirements throughout the organization.
Establish or upgrade procedures as needed while recommending changes to improve the efficiencies to minimize manual tasks, workflow bottlenecks and repetitive data entry.
Other duties and projects as required.
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Business or a related field.
15+ years of experience working in IT operations, supervising technology teams, and overseeing information technology projects.
Experience working with automotive, industrial, or manufacturing companies required.
Broad understanding of ERPs, MRP’s and/or MES, product development software, sales ordering systems & CRM, cybersecurity, administration of laptops, servers, and network infrastructure.
Prior experience with PLEX ERP/MRP is desirable.
Experience in leading systems implementation projects is required.
Extensive experience managing third-party vendors is preferred.
Experience in integrating acquired businesses is a plus.
Experience working in a high-growth organization is a plus.
Excellent customer service, troubleshooting and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build partnerships at staff and management levels, and across functions.
Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
Ability to work under pressure with keen attention to detail, with a strong sense of ethics, and the ability to maintain confidential information.
Ability to develop and deliver presentations to C-suite.

Location:

Troy, MI (Onsite)

Salary:

$150,000 - $175,000 P/A - Negotiable on experience
