Job Description - Director of International Studies and Programming

Responsibilities
Responsible for planning and coordinating the administrative and auxiliary activities for The Hill School for international students and families.
Conduct and participate in fundraising, committees, and conferences designed to promote and strengthen the partnership with international constituents, such as consultants and schools to exchange information and best practices, organize admissionreceptions, and set up remote learning centers.
Support students with classroom work by helping them understand instructions and stay focused.
Travel with the Head of School and Assistant Head of School for Advancement for annual admission and fundraising trips to Asia, including scheduling and facilitating parent meetings and student interviews.
Update the content of educational programs to ensure that students are being trained with equipment and processes that are technologically current.
Address public audiences to explain program objectives and to elicit support.
Counsel and provide guidance to students and act as an advisor to junior and senior female students in a dorm.
Organize dorm night activities and meetings and manage a dorm log.
Assist in the preparation of proposals, program policies and goals for the school's cultural education initiatives, including organizing celebration and events to support various international groups from different countries and backgrounds, and help foster an inclusive community for all students.
Assist with editing instructional materials on-campus programs for students, student-run clubs, including on-boarding training, meeting arrangements, club programming advising, and leadership recruitment, and engage with families and respond to general inquiries.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Education, International Education, Educational Leadership/Management or related field.
Must be willing to work in a private boarding school within an international setting, while also participating in student life and institutional giving.
Must have ability to plan and coordinate the administrative and auxiliary activities for international students, including international travel supporting institutional giving and parent engagement.
Must be bi-lingual in Chinese to assist with translation and communication; content maintenance of WeChat, What's App and other on-line platforms for international families; high skill in cross-cultural differences and sensitivities around donor relations, charitable giving and supporting an American boarding school from another country; ability to translate complex charitable giving discussions. Ability to travel internationally for up to 3 weeks annually for fundraising and international alumnie and paarent relations work. Must have legal authority to work in U.S. EEOE.
