Director of Inventory Management

Title: Director of Inventory Management
Duration: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Location: Schaumburg, IL (Fully Onsite)
Compensation: $100,000 - $105,000 + Benefits
Responsibilities:
Manage warehouse team and ensure compliance with all warehouse processes and procedures.
Ensure accurate and timely recording of all inventory transactions.
Manage inventory database, including the receipt, recording, and delivery of all purchased materials.
Work closely with the operations for placing orders and the accounting for budget.
Ensure all warehousing and inventory control objectives are met, including inventory turn ratios, on-hand accuracy, lowering inventory valuation, and management of obsolete inventory.
Manage and serve as the company liaison with freight companies and carriers.
Manage the warehouse team and their workload by prioritizing and delegating work assignments and monitoring productivity and work quality.
Utilize system reports to support optimum stock level.
Provide a monthly inventory report for management.
Assure cycle counts are completed timely and accurately and conduct monthly physical inventory.
Ensure complete accuracy with all shipments to clients.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
At least 3 years of Warehouse, Inventory Control, Materials and/or Field Distribution experience.
Must have a passion for leadership and management with the ability to lead by example.
Ability to work with vendors while monitoring both domestic and international shipping costs.
Proactive critical thinking skills with the ability to monitor and forecast inventory.
Excellent written/verbal communication skills with the ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
Ability to work independently, troubleshoot, perform corrective procedures, and meet deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Solid organizational and logistics skills.
