Matrix New World has an exciting opportunity for a strategic and experienced Director of Surveying who will oversee a high-performing Survey Department poised for significant growth over the next year. This role is critical to support the growth strategy of a professional services company specializing in engineering and environmental services expected to grow to $500 million in revenue.
What you’ll get to do:
- Manage a dynamic survey team located in New York and New Jersey who specialize in topographic survey, 3D scanning, boundary survey and bathymetric survey.
- Use your knowledge of the public and private sector to develop business throughout NY and NJ for a company experiencing massive growth.
- Leverage your significant project management experience to deliver best-in-class projects for our portfolio of existing clients.
- Manage and direct up to 8 survey crews at a time on exciting projects for a wide range of clients, as well as a staff of CAD techs and PMs.
- Act as a subject matter expert to clients and to mentor and develop junior staff.
Minimum Qualifications
- Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) in New York and New Jersey.
- 10 years of experience in topographic survey, 3D scanning, boundary survey and bathymetric survey.
- 5 years of experience delivering projects for public agencies and private clients.
- 5 years of hands-on experience with Leica Infinity, Cyclone, MicroStation and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Preferred Qualifications
- RPLS in additional states.
- Polished presentation skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in Adobe suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Teams.
