Job Description
An Exceptional Opportunity: Director of Learning & Development
A truly rare opportunity exists at PC for a passionate, forward-thinking leader to shape the future of technical training and workforce development.
As the largest Caterpillar dealer on the West Coast and one of the top three EPG dealers in the Americas, Peterson Cat is making the largest investment in training in the history of our company. This is more than an investment in equipment, facilities, and programs. It is an investment in our people, our customers, and the future of our industry.
We are seeking a Director of Learning & Development who shares our vision and is ready to build something exceptional. This individual will have the opportunity, resources, and full support of our organization to develop a world-class training program built around state-of-the-art equipment, industry-leading practices, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
As one of only five RDLC-accredited dealers in the United States, we recognize the importance of developing and maintaining the highest standards of technical excellence. Our goal is to create a best-in-class training program that develops the current and next generation of highly skilled technicians—professionals who will keep our customers productive, support our communities, and help shape the future of our industry.
This is an opportunity to do more than lead an existing program. It is an opportunity to build a lasting legacy, influence the direction of technical training, develop future talent, and make a meaningful impact on an organization that is committed to investing in its people.
For the right leader, this is a chance to turn a vision into reality with the backing, resources, and commitment necessary to make it happen.
If you are passionate about developing people, building exceptional training programs, and preparing the next generation of technical talent, we would welcome the opportunity to connect with you.
The opportunity is here. The commitment is real. The future is yours to help build.
The Director of Learning & Development leverages a strong understanding of adult learning methodology to lead and manage a comprehensive employee learning and development strategy that enhances the knowledge, skills, and performance of technical employees and people leaders across the organization.
This role provides strategic oversight for all company training activities, ensuring a comprehensive and integrated approach to technical, professional, leadership, managerial, and soft skills development.
A key responsibility of this role is the oversight and advancement of a parallel Technician Training Program that provides progressive, higher-level technical training opportunities for technicians seeking to expand their expertise and capabilities.
