About our property:
The iconic Arizona Biltmore is located in the heart of the prestigious Biltmore neighborhood in Phoenix. The resort was named the “Jewel of the Desert” since its opening on February 23, 1929. This gorgeous 39-acre property reopened in May 2021 after undergoing a $150 million restoration. The Director of Leisure Sales is responsible for the overall Leisure strategy for the hotel, using analytics and data to anticipate market trends and identify new opportunities with new leisure partners. Working closely with the Director of Sales and Director of Revenue Management to create a long-term vision for the hotel’s leisure to expand existing relationships and solicit new customer accounts, while consistently striving to maximize revenue and promote relationships through effective negotiation of guest rooms for the Arizona Biltmore.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Work closely with the Director of Sales and the Director of Revenue Management to develop and implement business plan for top accounts focusing on inbound business to the Phoenix/Scottdale market with a high volume of sales leads and working with customers in multiple time zones.
Provide monthly reports on the ROI of leisure marketing campaigns, partner promotions, and market capture against the comp set.
Responsible for reporting on complete qualifications of each account to determine at minimum: total revenue potential, booking patterns and histories, decision making factors, business/personal needs, resources, competition, and marketing.
Work closely with the Director of Sales to develop, maintain, and implement marketing plans and initiatives for key accounts.
Solicit and develop new wholesale, travel advisor, corporate and retail accounts to generate business opportunities for the Arizona Biltmore.
Travel to meet and develop client base as necessary including trainings, tradeshow participation, FAM trips, and retail travel agencies.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with assigned accounts through ongoing communication.
Partner closely with all related departments such as Revenue Management, Marketing, group sales, e-commerce, and Operations to help guide overall property strategies and tactics as appropriate.
Continually uncover business opportunities including group tour and entertainment business.
Other project and business development activities as directed by management.
Manage property specific promotions, annual Consortia/FIT/LNR/CNR RFPS, contracts and relevant communications to accounts.
What are we looking for?
EDUCATION
High School Diploma
EXPERIENCE
At least five (5) years of luxury hospitality sales experience, two (2) years of which must have been in a leadership role.
Experience working at a Forbes rated property, preferred.
Proven experience building relationships in a leisure hospitality market.
