Director of Maintenance

Director of Maintenance supervises and coordinates activities of maintenance workers engaged in maintaining and repairing physical structures of hotel, timeshare and buildings located on the premises. 

To be a successful Director, the candidate needs to be skilled, hard-working and have outstanding problem-solving abilities and expected to uphold the Samoset standards of excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Direct and perform maintenance tasks including, but not limited to: painting, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, pool & spa (minor repairs)


• Troubleshoot and repair company machinery equipment or appliances


• While walking throughout the property, make note of items in need of attention


• Respond to guest room calls/maintenance calls in a timely manner


• Keep all maintenance storage areas neat and clean


• Be an active participant in inventory control

Qualifications:

• Associates degree or equivalent from 2 year college or technical school


• Minimum of 3 years working experience in a similar role


• Extremely organized with good communication skills


• Detailed oriented with an aptitude for problem-solving


• Must be a team player


• Must be available nights, weekend and holidays based on needs
