POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our Business Development Team! The Director of Marketing role will be responsible for ensuring Sales Consultants have every opportunity to succeed through event coordination, marketing campaigns, the creation of advertisement campaigns, content strategy, and lead generation. This role will be a critical part of expanding our sales team and will help us drive partnerships with districts across the state and country. We are looking for someone with experience in sales enablement and the creation of engaging marketing content, sales collateral, email marketing, event/webinar coordination, and the design and management of effective marketing campaigns at national, state, and local levels. We need someone with experience creating customized and compelling sales collateral, generating presentations and content for sales teams, and the deployment of sales enablement strategies that will drive leads and partnerships with school districts. This role will be instrumental in building and scaling our fast-growing K-12 institutional business, impacting the lives of millions of students throughout the country.

We're searching for a highly skilled Director of Marketing to work closely with the Sales Team. From day one, this individual will contribute to existing marketing programs, while assisting with the development of new initiatives aligned with company and client goals. The ideal candidate will have an educational background and prior experience with a wide range of marketing functions, including communications, advertising, branding, and social media. This person will work directly with Executives and the sales team and must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with an immense drive toward success for our teams.

The marketing Specialist must be an organized multitasker who is able to handle many diverse projects at once and meet tight deadlines. This person will directly report to the Vice President of Sales and work with company executives and the sales team.

Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000 + Benefits

YOUR IMPACT

Create and develop engaging product messaging, website content, and sales collateral to effectively communicate the company products and Value Proposition (Canva experience preferred)
Develop and manage targeted marketing campaigns (including email) including lead generation, brand awareness, and customer advocacy
Accurately track ROI of all marketing-related activities, communication, and opportunity tracking in CRM
Work effectively across sales to develop a marketing strategy and campaigns to drive revenue and support sales
Manage the development of sales tools and training that support the selling process of our products and services
Monitor the long-term product roadmap and plan future messaging and marketing collateral
Join sales and customer service reps for client meetings to develop an understanding of the needs and "the voice" of our customers
Lead and support the creation of Sales Proposals / Presentations / Research Studies / Analysis / Marketing Collateral
Drive market and customer research collection, analysis, and interpretation of data for short and long-term market forecasts and reports.
Organize and prioritize both National and Regional conferences with effective messaging and ROI
Construct virtual marketing events and drive the correct targeted audience to attend these virtual event
Work directly with Executives to learn, understand, and adopt how we live out our culture with our clients through our Marketing initiatives
Create and execute a content calendar through email campaigns, social media, and print materials
Manage marketing inventory (ordering, tracking, shipping, designing, etc.)
Manage multiple campaigns and all logistics for event management at once
Manage other duties as assigned
Manage sales duties as assigned
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Bachelor-level degree preferably in Marketing or related field
2+ years of experience in marketing, content generation, and sales enablement
Strong messaging and storytelling skills that resonate with educators and highlight the different points along the customer journey
Proven CRM experience and history using marketing/lead gen tools that integrate with our CRM and can effectively target K12 school districts
A solid understanding of procurement and sales processes, preferably within the K-12 market
Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to articulate the value propositions of MSB to different audiences and in a variety of formats
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, understanding of email marketing best practices as well as performance and effectiveness
Strong customer relations skills and high emotional intelligence
Self-starter, detail-oriented, deadline-oriented, organized, resourceful, and has the ability to coordinate projects from start to finish

Experience designing in Canva (or equivalent)
Logistics management
Proficient with computers, Microsoft Office applications (specifically, Microsoft Word), and Windows operating systems, Design software (i.e. Canva preferred)
Ability to use Constant Contact for external communication to clients
Able to thrive in a team environment and be a strong team player
Capable of meeting deadlines
Strong organization, confidentiality, and time management skills
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
Ability to multitask
Demonstrate and live up to MSB's Guiding Principles

Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
