Our team of Account Managers and Staffing Coordinators work together to refer the highest caliber of professionals with degrees, certifications and licenses of varying levels in the fields of social services, psychiatry, occupational therapy, language speech pathology, special education teachers, para professionals, mental health, addictions treatment, allied therapies and pharmacy. We primarily provide service supplemental staffing services to school districts and charter schools, hospitals, community mental health centers, outpatient treatment facilities, and residential homes.

Nurse Manager / Director, Hospital Setting

Our client , a well established and growing hospital with an extensive campus located in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago, is seeking a strong and assertive Nurse Manger that has experience in working with multiple extensions of a hospital and employees. You will oversee in a 40 bed unit behavioral health / psychiatric unit with a staff of 60 , mentoring and educating student nurses, creating training and learning opportunities, delivering evaluations and disciplinary actions as necessary while holding patient care as the highest priority.. This opportunity has expectations that require you to be assertive in leadership and collaborative in your partnership with physicians, nursing leadership, nurse manager/director peers, hospital administration and staff. The right candidate is a a Manager who is a champion for the highest quality of patient care! 

 Job requirements

• Current RN licensure in the state of IL

• Masters Degree preferred, Bachelors Degree Required 

• Previous experience managing a staff of 40+

Job Expectations

• Advocate on the behalf if the patient regarding service.

• Recommend programs and services /changes to meet any gaps in the patients care.

• Maintain accurate and timely patient information, readily accessible for review and meet all requirements; assist in data collection for reporting.

• Interview, Hire, Evaluate Performance, Mentor/Train and Terminate Staff as necessary.

• Perform and coordinate the initial assessments and ongoing reassessments of the patients status. 

• Perform monthly chart review/audits monthly or as needed
