What You’ll Do

We are looking for a Medical Physicist to play a critical role in delivering life-saving cancer treatment while making a meaningful impact on patients and the community. You will work with Varian TrueBeam to deliver treatments (VMAT, SBRT, SRS/SRT, 3DCRT, and electrons), Eclipse and ARIA for TPS and EMR and a suite of physics efficiency tools from MIM, Radformation, and ImageOwl.

An array of SNC equipment is utilized to assist with QA, including the DQA3 device, ArcCheck, SRSMapCheck, 1DTank, and IC Profiler. In addition, an IBA Blue Phantom 2 scanning tank with a variety of chambers and electrometers.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Utilizing treatment planning systems, developing quality treatments plans.
  • Ensure equipment is safe, effective, and working to manufacturers and to standards recognized by AAPM or other organizations.
  • Monitor & develop new safety procedures.
  • Consult with physician colleagues to solve challenges.
  • Monitor the development of emerging new treatment options.
  • Oversee the RO-ILs program.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, protocols, and standards.
  • Maintain contacts with external organizations, including government departments, professional societies, and non-profit organizations.

Requirements

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Master’s, Ph.D., or DMP degree in medical physics
  • Certification by the American Board of Radiology or American Board of Medical Physicists
  • 2 years or more of clinical experience as a Medical Physicist
