Position Summary: The Director of Men’s Ministry provides leadership and direction for discipling men at First Alliance Church (FAC). This role focuses on developing leaders, fostering relational discipleship, and creating environments where men grow as Spirit-empowered followers of Jesus Christ who actively disciple others.
This is a part time job, approximately 20 hours per week.
Primary Responsibilities:
Discipleship & Teaching • Lead men’s Bible studies and teaching environments • Create opportunities for sound, biblical teaching • Promote a culture of discipleship and spiritual growth • Encourage participation in small, accountable groups
Mentorship • Provide group and one-on-one mentoring • Develop and multiply mentors within the ministry • Equip men to disciple other men
Leadership Development • Identify, train, and support volunteer leaders • Invest in emerging leaders, including a Greenhouse Resident • Build sustainable systems for leadership multiplication
Events & Ministry Environments • Lead planning and execution of key events: Spring Men’s Conference and Men’s Fall Retreat • Create additional environments for teaching, connection, and outreach
Community Building • Foster authentic relationships and accountability among men • Create clear pathways for engagement and connection • Encourage consistent participation in discipleship relationships
Strategic Collaboration • Work with the Men’s Ministry Wisdom Team to shape vision and direction • Collaborate with church staff to align ministry efforts • Maintain regular communication with the Lead Pastor
Administration • Develop and manage the annual Men’s Ministry budget in alignment with church priorities • Plan and submit yearly budget proposals, including projected expenses for events, resources, and ministry initiatives • Steward allocated funds responsibly, ensuring all spending aligns with approved budget and ministry goals • Monitor expenses throughout the year and adjust plans as needed to remain on budget • Evaluate cost-effectiveness of events and initiatives to maximize ministry impact within financial constraints • Maintain clear communication with church leadership regarding budget needs, changes, and performance • Oversee ministry planning, scheduling, and logistics within a 20-hour work week • Track engagement, participation, and leadership development metrics
