Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Mobile Product to lead the development of an omni-channel consumer golf improvement and entertainment service technology product. This role will involve leveraging revolutionary swing analysis and launch monitor technologies to deliver a seamless golf improvement experience across in-store, mobile, and at-home channels. This product will be the culmination of over 25 years of passion for the game of golf, advanced technology development, master instruction, and unmatched service to help ALL golfers improve, enjoy and compete by experiencing Better Golf… Anytime… Anywhere.
Along with GOLFTEC’s Mobile App, the successful candidate will be at the center of the GOLFTEC Anywhere ecosystem seamlessly integrating Content, Simulation/Gaming, Community, On-Course, and Commerce touchpoints to deliver an improvement and entertainment experience that is tailored to each unique player.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver incredible products and experiences by combining a deep understanding of business strategy with creative product strategy and technical acumen.
Develop, document, and own a clear product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the omni-channel golf improvement and entertainment service, aligning with company objectives and market trends.
Conduct extensive market research to understand golfer preferences, industry trends, and competitive landscape. Utilize insights to drive product feature prioritization and enhancements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate the service across multiple channels, including in-store experiences, mobile applications, and at-home platforms. Ensure consistency and coherence across all touchpoints.
Prioritize features and functionalities based on customer feedback, market demands, and business objectives. Develop clear requirements and user stories for implementation.
Create feedback loop that allows for constant iteration and rapid delivery.
Actively participate in the product delivery process as the Product Owner and voice of the customer.
Take ownership of GOLFTEC’s mobile applications and work closely with UX/UI designers to create intuitive and engaging interfaces that optimize the GOLFTEC Anywhere experience.
Partner with project management and development teams to implement swing analysis and launch monitor technologies across various platforms.
Conduct rigorous testing and troubleshooting throughout the development lifecycle.
Lead the planning and execution of product launches across in-store, mobile, and at-home channels. Develop comprehensive go-to-market plans, including marketing campaigns, promotional materials, and user training initiatives.
Monitor key performance indicators post-launch, including user engagement, satisfaction, and retention metrics. Continuously gather feedback and iterate on the product requirements to drive improvements and maximize user value.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, or equivalent experience in a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
Proven experience (5 years) in consumer-focused product management roles, with a focus on multi-channel service development and/or sports technology products.
Experience with PRDs and/or product one-pagers.
Experience with product research philosophies, approach and best practices.
Strong understanding of mobile app development processes, including iOS and Android platforms.
Strong understanding of golf industry trends, technologies, and player needs.
Experience working with swing analysis and launch monitor technologies is highly desirable.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive results under tight deadlines.
Passion for golf and a deep appreciation for the intersection of technology and sports.
Proficiency in requirements gathering, documentation, and agile software development methodologies.
