We are seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our skilled nursing team in Canandaigua, NY. This is a key leadership role where you will oversee nursing operations and help ensure the highest quality of care for residents.

Key Responsibilities

As the Director of Nursing, your primary duties will include:

• Leadership & Supervision:
  • Supervise and support all nursing staff within the facility.
  • Foster a professional and collaborative work environment.
• Policy & Compliance:
  • Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices.
• Staff Management:
  • Oversee the hiring, training, and continued employment of nursing staff.
  • Monitor staffing levels and ensure skills remain current.
• Resident Care:
  • Assess the health needs of residents and oversee their care plans.
  • Be informed of incidents and address them promptly and effectively.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of NY (required).
• 5+ years of experience in long-term care settings (required).
• 2+ years of supervisory or management experience (required).
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and decision-making abilities.
