Overview:
Otterbein Staffing Agency is seeking a compassionate and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) for a short-term assignment at Otterbein St. Marys. Commitment is for 8 to 12 weeks.

Job Type: PRN (Short-Term Commitment)

Responsibilities:

As Interim DON, you will support or oversee clinical operations in the skilled nursing area:

• Supervise STNAs and nurses


• Provide oversight in the absence of a permanent DON


• Case manage care plans, including habilitation


• Maintain knowledge of long-term care clinical standards, Medicare/Medicaid regulations, and reimbursement practices


• Support and supervise nursing staff, providing leadership and coaching as needed


• Be on-call for questions/emergencies (rotating with DON/ADON)


• Provide occasional floor nurse coverage if required


• Approve clinical admissions


• Follow all established policies, procedures, and regulatory standards


• Uphold elder rights, dignity, privacy, and confidentiality


• Interact professionally with elders, families, and fellow partners


• Collaborate across departments and help resolve problems


• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Education: Current RN license in Ohio


• Experience: Minimum 3 years of nursing experience in long-term care, with prior supervisory experience preferred


• Skills: Proficient in electronic medical records and basic computer systems
