Director of Nursing for Orchards of Alliance

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our team of skilled nurses and staff at our recently opened facility located in the heart of Alliance, Ohio.  The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of nursing practices, patient care plans and regulatory compliance. This role is pivotal in ensuring high-quality resident care and fostering a culture of excellence within our organization. 

The Director of Nursing will plan, direct, coordinate, and evaluate the daily nursing functions of the facility to ensure that resident needs are met through accepted standards of nursing practice and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding the operation of Skilled Nursing Facilities and Assisted Living Nursing Facilities. The Director of Nursing will maintain and advise the Administrator and CEO in matters related to nursing services by performing the following duties:

· Provide clinical guidance and support to all nursing personnel, fostering professional development and best practices in residential care.

· Oversee the daily operations of all nursing services, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. 

· Ability to complete assessments based on level of care, including interim care plans, service plans and implementing physicians’ orders.

· Report substandard care and/or concerns to the Director of Clinical Operations.

· Round daily with nurses on staff and ensure timely completion of documentation.

· Responsible for maintaining the nursing schedule and overseeing the shift change process.

· Communicate effectively to staff, all internal departments and families of residents to ensure residents’ standard of care.

· Monitor and maintain facilities document for accuracy. 

· Assist in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, counseling, coaching and discipline of staff.

Qualifications: 

· Valid Registered Nurse (RN) licenses from the State of Ohio required; bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.  

· Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility.  

· RN leadership experience preferred. 

· Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. 

· Exceptional communication skills.

· Complete annual state mandated training requirements. (Regular in-services as well as any external training)
