Job Location

The Director of Nursing is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and operation of nursing services within Long Term Care. This role ensures high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, effective staffing, and continuous quality improvement while supporting the mission and goals of the facility. The Director of Nursing provides strategic leadership for nursing staff and works collaboratively with facility leadership to enhance resident outcomes and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for all nursing services, care delivery systems, and clinical programs.

• Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing policies, standards of care, and quality improvement initiatives.

• Collaborate with facility leadership to identify needs, address operational challenges, and implement new programs.

• Oversee staffing plans, budgets, workforce development, and performance management activities.

• Ensure compliance with state, federal, accreditation, and Medicare requirements.

• Support resident-centered care through oversight of clinical practices, including wound care, restorative nursing, incontinence management, and restraint reduction initiatives.

• Direct staff development, coaching, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and employee engagement efforts.

• Monitor licensure, certification, and credentialing requirements for nursing staff.

• Partner with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams to resolve concerns and improve the resident experience.

• Promote quality improvement, resident and staff safety, and a culture of excellence throughout the facility.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program.

• Current Missouri Registered Nurse (RN) license.

• Three to five years of nursing management experience in a direct patient care environment.

• Knowledge of long-term care regulations, standards of practice, and quality measures.

• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience with staffing, budgeting, performance management, and personnel administration.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
