Job Description - Director of Nursing RN Skilled Nursing


  • Direct resident care: Ensure quality care meets or exceeds standards

  • Infection Control: Maintain sound practices and ensure training compliance

  • Emergency preparedness: Ensure staff are prepared for accidents, fires, disasters. elopement, and emergencies

  • Care Planning: Develop, implement, modify, and communicate resident assessments and care plans

  • Medication management: Oversee systems, ensure ide competence, and ensure safe and accurate medication handling

  • Supply management: Maintain an accurate inventory of care supplies and follow purchasing protocols

  • Quality assurance: Participate in the facility's QA Committee and ensure compliance with program requirements

  • Recordkeeping: Audit resident records regularly to ensure compliance with program requirements
