Summary/Objective

In accordance with the Vision, Mission, and Values of the District, the Director of Nursing works with members of the healthcare team to provide administrative oversight of nursing services in the Skilled Nursing Facility. Collaborates with clinical managers to monitor compliance with regulatory agencies and performance of goals and standards of patient care in the Skilled Nursing Facility.

Uses critical thinking skills to analyze issues, develop plans for improvement, implement those plans, and monitor their effectiveness.

Requirements

Required Education and Experience

Must possess a current RN license issued by the state of CA

BLS certification

Graduation from an accredited nursing school or program and proof of current California licensure. 

Bachelor's Degree or 3 years of nursing experience.

Preferred Education and Experience

1 year or more experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred

Management experience preferred
