About the Role

Envoy Recruitment is seeking a skilled Director of Surgical and/or Cardiovascular Services to lead perioperative and cardiac care across a busy hospital in Bartlett, TN. This is a full-time leadership role with 24/7 oversight of surgical and cardiovascular nursing services, reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO). We're prioritizing the need for Surgical experience and will consider candidates without the Cardiovascular leadership experience.

Youll be responsible for managing clinical staff, ensuring high-quality care delivery, optimizing efficiency, and driving growth within both departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership across surgical services and cardiovascular care units

• Ensure safe, high-quality, and patient-centered nursing care

• Lead clinical teams and manage staff competency and performance

• Support operational goals and departmental growth initiatives

• Collaborate with hospital leadership to align care delivery with organizational strategy

• Maintain regulatory compliance and patient safety standards

What You Bring

Education

• Required: Associate Degree in Nursing plus a Bachelor's in Nursing or a healthcare-related field (BSN or equivalent)

• Preferred: Masters in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of progressive leadership experience in a hospital setting

• Background in surgical or cardiovascular services strongly preferred

Licensure & Certifications

• Active RN license (must meet state requirements)

• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
