Be the person Biena counts on to get their snacks from the co-manufacturer to the Whole Foods shelf, every single time.
Biena Snacks
Biena is one of the fastest-growing brands in better-for-you snacking, pioneering the protein snack movement with award-winning Chickpea Snacks, and our new high-protein Crispy Edamame line. Distributed in 15,000+ stores including Whole Foods, Target, Sprouts, Costco, and Kroger, Biena Snacks are both delicious and truly nutritious.
What You Will Do
As Director of Operations & Supply Chain, you'll lead the day-to-day execution of Biena's operations function during a period of rapid growth across natural, mass, club, and specialty channels. Reporting to the VP of Operations & Supply Chain, you'll own the operational scoreboard: S&OP, co-manufacturing execution, quality and food safety, 3PL and warehouse management, and retailer performance, while building the systems and playbooks that support Biena's next phase of growth.
Responsibilities:
Run the monthly S&OP cycle end to end, driving alignment across demand, supply, and inventory, and manage capacity reservation across the co-manufacturing network
Manage the co-manufacturing network day to day, owning onboarding, technical qualification, scorecards, and new product commercialization from pilot to full rollout
Own the quality system in partnership with R&D, driving SQF, PCQI, and HACCP compliance, CAPA leadership, and FDA visit readiness
Manage the 3PL and warehouse network, own retailer scorecards, and drive root-cause fixes on deductions and chargebacks
Lead cost engineering initiatives across ingredients, packaging, freight, and 3PL, and own the SOP library and supply chain systems roadmap, including ERP evaluation
Who You Are
You're an operations leader who has built a career inside food or beverage CPG, comfortable owning a co-manufacturing network end to end and just as comfortable being hands-on at a partner facility when something needs fixing. You bring a strong quality systems background, a command of operational KPIs and financial levers, and the collaboration skills to work across R&D, Finance, and Commercial in a lean, high-ownership environment.
Qualifications:
8+ years of progressive operations leadership in food or beverage CPG, including 3+ years at the manager or director level owning a co-manufacturing network
Direct experience running S&OP or IBP monthly cycles in a growth-stage environment
SQF, PCQI, or HACCP certification, with documented CAPA leadership across multiple co-manufacturers
Demonstrated 3PL and warehouse network management, and a track record commercializing new products in fast-growth environments
Bachelor's degree required
Preferred: better-for-you snack, protein, or plant-based category experience, APICS/CPIM or Six Sigma certification, and experience moving operations from spreadsheet-based tools into formal integrated systems
