Director of Operations

Job Purpose

This position is responsible for the Operations organization of the Costa Mesa, California Printed Circuit Board facility.

This position will play a key role in achieving broad based business goals including profitability, growth, customer satisfaction all built on foundations of flawless execution and quality.

This candidate must be able to demonstrate thorough understanding of operations and lead his/her team using applicable metrics along with hands-on-involvement in every aspect of the business.

The successful candidate will be a leader who can communicate with and motivate a talented team that he or she will build and continuously develop.

Responsibilities

Nature of Duties and Responsibilities:

The Director of operations is responsible for overseeing many of a business's daily activities, directing and coordinating actions across an organization.
Develop, motivate, lead a high-performance management team with key direct reports in Production and Materials/Purchasing.
Direct operations to ensure excellence in quality, cost, delivery, and other performance metrics.
Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and effective customer relations with strong and positive personal involvement and leadership.

Education

Education and Experience:

Minimum of 10 years progressive management experience in a manufacturing environment.
A 8+ year track record of success in operational roles for companies with PCB operations.
A track record of growth that is indicative of strong customer presence.
Ability to push, engage, motivate, and lead others
A visionary and passionate leader who can inspire, communicate and influence in a professional yet “down-to-earth” manner to effectively gain trust and support across the company and customers
Track record of forging strong customer relationships.
Comfortable in C-suite conversations with Customers, ability to communicate effectively in verbal, written and presentations modes.
Strong presence and charisma.
Ability to balance short-term and long-term objectives
Highly entrepreneurial executive with a track record of results and integrity who thrives in a fast-paced, hard-working culture
A flexible work style that can move fluidly from “the big picture” to the details with the natural predisposition to “roll-up his/her sleeves”
Demonstrated track record of developing skills in team members to create a high-performance group; sets, drives and meets aggressive goals for herself/himself and those around her/him.
A true team player with the ability to “stand his or her ground” when challenged and who can push back in a constructive manner.

Salary Range (annual): $150,000 - $175,000

In addition, Sanmina Provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
