Job Description - Director of Operations

Job Description
As the Director of Operations, you will play a pivotal role in translating strategic priorities into actionable goals that support our vision of amplifying the impact of our investors and partners. Reporting directly to the Managing Principal, you will oversee all aspects of our operational infrastructure by executing and coordinating business functions performed both in house and by third-party service providers. Functional oversight areas include but are not limited to:
Financial Accounting and Administration
Tax & Audit
Business Entity Law
On and Offshore Fund Regulatory Management
Compliance Management
Human Resource Management
Office Administration and Management

Key Responsibilities
Operational Oversight : Perform, manage, and coordinate all operational aspects of running an investment firm. Help run the business while the Managing Principal grows and propels the business forward.
Strategic Planning:

Help shape and implement firm-wide strategic initiatives that match current business priorities and support long-term growth objectives. Collaborate with the Managing Principal to align operational priorities with the firm's overarching vision, values, and goals.
Financial Management:

Oversee forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting processes. Monitor monthly financial metrics and cash positions to identify and capture cost savings.
Team Leadership and Development

: Work alongside the Managing Principal to provide consistent leadership for staff members. Co-labor with the Managing Principal in casting vision, establishing business priorities, and fostering a culture of trust, collaboration, and accountability. Mentor and develop team members to reach goals, achieve their full potential, and contribute to overall firm success.
Risk Management and Compliance:

Continuously oversee risk management frameworks and compliance protocols to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks that could negatively impact firm reputation or performance.
Client Relations and Service Excellence:

Champion a client-centric approach to operations, ensuring that the needs and expectations of our investors are met with the highest level of professionalism and integrity. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with service providers, clients, and stakeholders, serving as a trusted advisor and facilitator of mission-critical work.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certifications in compliance, tax and audit, or human resources, preferred.
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in financial services or business operations; proven record of leadership and accomplishment in a hedge fund or investment management environment preferred.
High degree of integrity, professionalism, with a history of upholding core values and ethical standards without compromise.
A keen ability to adapt in a dynamic and fast-paced industry and work environments; familiar with financial markets and products as well as hedge fund compliance and regulatory requirements preferred.
Strong analytical and computational skills along with a strategic mindset; ability to synthesize complex information and formulate and articulate meaningful ideas and recommendations.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills, with a demonstrated ability to build trust and collaborate effectively across all levels of an organization.
Proven leadership capabilities, including the ability to inspire and motivate teams, drive performance excellence, and foster a culture of continuous learning and growth.
