Description
OVERVIEW
The Regional Director of Operations who is responsible for leading and managing the operational performance of multiple manufacturing sites within a designated region. This senior leadership role requires a strategic thinker with a strong operational background, excellent leadership skills, and a track record of driving process improvements and efficiency. The ideal candidate will ensure that all manufacturing operations meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and productivity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee daily operations of multiple manufacturing facilities within the region, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives
Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance productivity across all sites
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Lead and mentor plant managers and operational teams, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and accountability
Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and quality regulations and standards
Collaborate with other departments, including finance, supply chain, and engineering, to support overall business objectives and operational goals
Identify and address operational challenges and opportunities, developing and implementing solutions to optimize performance
Drive lean manufacturing initiatives and best practices to streamline processes and eliminate waste
Oversee budget preparation and management, ensuring cost control and financial performance within the region
Lead change management efforts to support the implementation of new processes, technologies, and systems
Requirements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role managing multiple sites
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement methodologies
Proven track record of driving operational excellence, cost reduction, and productivity improvements
Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Experience in budget management and financial analysis
Ability to travel frequently within the region to oversee operations and support site teams
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
MBA is preferred
LOCATION
Ideally the successful candidate will be within driving distance within an hour driving distance of a major airport. Preference for candidates in central US due to integration with other Cadrex functions. Candidates will be able to work remotely.
