The Director of Outpatient Services develops and administers a comprehensive IOP and PHP program than responds to the community's needs and supports the organization's overall mission, philosophy, and goals; and to integrate the management of the PHP in the behavioral health system's continuum of care.
Guides, directs, motivates and implements the policies and procedures for the outpatient services function. Ensures a high level of quality care and services for patients by coordinating and communicating operational procedures to staff and various programs under outpatient.
Monitors, evaluates, and modifies programs while adhering to company guidelines and standards.
Develops and implements training to ensure that all employees receive adequate direction on preferred clinical practices, approaches, and current system trends. Seeks out additional internal and external training resources when necessary. Ensures that regulatory and organizational training requirements are satisfied.
Ensures that both internal and external incident reporting requirements are met for all crises and unusual incidents.
Partners with internal and external partners on programs.
Attends all external and internal meetings and training sessions as required.
Develops new or improved methods, products, or services. Displays intellectual curiosity, and challenges conventional practices for the good of the organization.
Initiates and/or follows through with a plan or task. Able to take the initiative to capitalize on an opportunity. Able to generate and implement solutions in the face of change.
Stays current with the new techniques in the field. Able to differentiate between fads and substance when viewing new developments.
Education - minimum Master's degree leading to the licensure by the Texas Board of Behavioral Health
License - Required: State of Texas LMSW, LPC, LMFT, or Psychologist full license. Associate and interns will be considered with acceptable supervision agreement.
Certification: Required: CPR (current) Handle with Care (to obtain within 30 days of hire)
Core Experience
1-3 years in a field relevant in therapeutic specialty area required. Healthcare and inpatient psychiatric hospital or outpatient experience preferred.
Experience with OSHA, CMS, Joint Commission requirements and standards within a health or hospital environment preferred.
