Company Summary

CRISP Shared Services (CSS) serves as the technology partner for health information exchange (HIE) affiliates in Maryland, DC, West Virginia, Connecticut, Alaska, Virginia and other jurisdictions. CSS facilitates the electronic transfer of clinical information between disparate information systems in order to positively impact the healthcare system through improved patient care and outcomes, reduced costs, and data-driven understanding of regional public health concerns.

Job Summary

The Director of Partner Engagement is responsible for designing and implementing provider-facing use cases in conjunction with local HIE actors and CSS strategic priorities. This role requires deep understanding of how evidence-based approaches to using health IT can support improved outcomes and efficiency. The Director of Partner Engagement must be able to work independently to deliver results, while navigating complex relationships across organizations and individuals.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The role includes the following duties and responsibilities; other duties may be assigned. 

  • Review utilization metrics and core system capabilities to determine whether there are potential gaps in understanding or implementation
  • Contribute to use case and product design to ensure CSS infrastructure is used by clients
  • Document and share use cases to inform best practices and broad utilization
  • Identify leaders within affiliate HIEs and their participants who can inform services and implementations, as well as spread best practices in their jurisdiction
  • Meet goals related to implementing use cases that leverage existing technology but require direct outreach and/or minor configuration or data changes
  • Work across all CSS affiliates and projects to increase satisfaction and use of HIE tools
  • Implement new and existing services in direct consultation with end users

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Strong project management, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Thorough understanding of health information technology, policies, and standards
  • Ability to operate both within a team and as an independent contributor
  • Ability to navigate competing priorities and work in parallel to move multiple efforts forward simultaneously
  • A desire to set and achieve difficult goals

Experience and/or Education Requirements

  • 4-year college degree
  • 10+ years working in public health, health care, relevant government agencies, or equivalent
  • MPH or MHA preferred

Compensation and Benefits Package 

  • Targeted base salary: $150,000 to $170,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications, plus benefits and bonuses.
  • Benefits include the following but are not limited to health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance. CSS also has a 403(b) plan with discretionary employer match and contributions. You will be eligible for 20 days of Paid Time Off per year (accrued in accordance with CSS’s policies). PTO is in addition to 8 company designated holidays. If you are not PTO eligible, you may be eligible for applicable state and/or local sick and safe leave in accordance with the provisions of any applicable state and/or local sick and safe leave laws.
