Job Description - Director of Partner Engagement





Description

 The Director of Partner Engagement is a key member of the executive leadership team responsible for shaping and executing strategic initiatives that cultivate, expand, and sustain vital partnerships with community agencies and program partners. This role oversees a dynamic team dedicated to advancing CFB’s mission to alleviate food insecurity, driving network expansion, optimizing resource deployment, and ensuring compliance with Feeding America and other contractual obligations.

 Position Responsibilities & Essential Functions: 

Strategic Partner Engagement & Network Expansion 

  • Design and implement a comprehensive engagement strategy to expand CFB’s network and enhance the impact of our community partnerships. 
  • Cultivate and nurture long-term relationships with key community stakeholders, ensuring alignment with CFB’s mission and growth objectives. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate partner initiatives into overall organizational strategy, ensuring outstanding service delivery and operational efficiency. 
  • Guarantee strict adherence to all Feeding America contract requirements and internal policies, while managing program budgets and resource allocation. 
  • Function as a spokesperson for CFB by representing the organization at industry conferences, meetings, and seminars, enhancing strategic visibility and stakeholder engagement. 

Executive Leadership & Organizational Development 

  • Oversee the recruitment, development, and performance management of the Partner Engagement team, ensuring that all team members are empowered to achieve their full potential. 
  • Establish clear performance objectives, implement robust performance evaluation processes, and drive continuous improvement through coaching and mentorship. 
  • Serve as an integral member of the leadership team, actively contributing to organizational strategy, departmental collaboration, and board-level initiatives as needed. 
  • Lead initiatives that foster innovation and adaptability, ensuring that the team is well-equipped to navigate evolving challenges and opportunities.  

Executive Leadership & Strategic Management 

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and align teams with organizational goals, translating emerging trends into actionable strategies. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex information and make decisive, timely decisions. 
  • Expertise in delegating responsibilities effectively while fostering an environment of accountability and autonomy. 
  • A forward-thinking mindset with a proven track record of implementing innovative solutions to drive organizational success. 

Superior Communication 

  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. 
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including effective public speaking and the ability to lead executive-level discussions. 
  • Adept at articulating with passion, the organization’s mission, and values to both internal teams and external partners.  

Qualifications/Preferred Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. 
  • Minimum five years of senior management experience, with a demonstrated ability to lead strategic initiatives in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment. 
  • Proven record of accomplishments in program management, relationship building, and data-driven insights to inform decision-making and drive growth. 
  • Current SERV Safe Manager’s certification or the ability to obtain certification within three months of hire. 
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record and willingness to travel as needed throughout the service area. 
  • Deep commitment to understanding and supporting CFB’s mission, with a compassionate approach to addressing food insecurity. 
  • Exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication capabilities. 

 Physical Requirements  

  • Primarily work in a standard office setting, with extended periods of sitting while using a computer and engaging in meetings. 
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move within varied environments during on-site visits, community outreach events, and meetings. 
  • Frequent travel across the service area is needed, necessitating physical stamina to navigate different community settings and events. 
  • Occasional lifting and transportation of materials (up to twenty-five pounds) may be needed during event setups or on-site engagements. 
  • Must be capable of working under varying environmental conditions when attending off-site events or community initiatives. 
  • Reasonable accommodation may be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. 

Salary Description

$74K-$84K based on experience
