Director of People

Location: Roselle, IL

Salary: $120,000 Base

We're recruiting a Director of People to lead the people side of a growing organization, with a strong emphasis on performance management rather than traditional HR administration.

This role is ideal for someone who knows how to develop people, improve performance, create accountability, and help build a high-performing culture. The position will also have responsibility for HR administrative and compliance matters, including workers' compensation.

What You'll Do

• Lead performance management initiatives across the organization

• Develop systems that improve employee performance and accountability

• Work with leadership to identify and address performance challenges

• Help develop, coach, and retain high-performing employees

• Support the development of a strong, performance-driven culture

• Handle workers' compensation matters

• Manage necessary HR administrative and compliance responsibilities

Preferred Experience

• Experience in performance management, people operations, or HR leadership

• Experience handling workers' compensation and HR compliance is preferred but not required

• Ability to learn the administrative and compliance aspects of the role

• Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills
