Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Maintenance to oversee the maintenance operations of our organization. As the Director of Maintenance, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our facilities, equipment, and systems to ensure optimal functionality and efficiency. This is a leadership role that requires strong technical knowledge, excellent management skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Duties: - Develop and implement maintenance strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the effective operation and maintenance of all facilities and equipment - Manage a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and support as needed - Oversee the scheduling and coordination of maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maximize productivity - Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues or areas for improvement - Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or services - Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards - Monitor inventory levels of maintenance supplies and equipment, ordering replacements as necessary - Develop and manage the maintenance budget, tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities - Collaborate with other departments to support their maintenance needs
Experience: - Proven experience in maintenance management, preferably in a similar leadership role - Strong knowledge of facilities management principles and practices - Ability to fabricate or repair mechanical components as needed - Familiarity with logic controllers (PLCs) and their programming - Proficient in English communication (both written and verbal) - Electrical knowledge, including high voltage systems, is highly desirable - Experience working with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is preferred
