Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the daily operations of the post-surgical services and neuroscience unit, including staffing, budgeting, and resource management.

2. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of care and safety for patients.

3. Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient and effective patient care, including nursing, pharmacy, and rehabilitation.

4. Monitor and evaluate the performance of staff, providing feedback and coaching as needed to maintain a high-performing team.

5. Develop and maintain relationships with physicians, healthcare providers, and community organizations to promote the services of the post-surgical unit.

6. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards, and participate in audits and surveys as needed.

7. Develop and manage the unit's budget, including forecasting and cost control measures.

8. Identify and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance the quality and efficiency of patient care.

9. Serve as a resource and mentor for staff, promoting professional development and fostering a positive work environment.

10. Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in post-surgical and neuroscience care to continuously improve the unit's services.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field; Master's degree preferred.

2. Current RN license in good standing.

3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in post-surgical and neuroscience care, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.

4. Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.

5. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

6. Proven ability to manage and develop a team.

7. Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and healthcare professionals.

8. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

9. Proficient in budgeting and resource management.

10. Passion for delivering high-quality patient care and promoting a positive work environment.
