Position: Executive Director-290,000 Membership-Based Association

Members: Students-Middle School, High School, 2-Year & 4-Year Colleges/Universities

International Association: HOSA-Future Health Professionals (501c3)

Headquarters Location: North Texas-Southlake, TX (near DFW Airport)

Employment Type: Full-Time Employment in North Texas; Staff must reside in North Texas; Contractors can work remotely.

Compensation: Commensurate with Experience. Benefits available.

HOSA-Future Health Professionals is a dedicated 501c3 nonprofit association committed to recruiting students to the #1 career in the health professions. HOSA serves middle schools, high schools, 2-year colleges, and 4-year universities in the USA, territories, and internationally. Our mission is to be a significant provider in the health industry pipeline by recruiting, preparing, and motivating young people to pursue collegiate degrees and certifications to become future health professionals. More than 3.2 million HOSA alums have experienced classrooms delivering technical skills and HOSA chapters developing, practicing, and refining soft skills to enhance the preparation of future health professionals.

Position Description

We seek a dynamic and visionary Executive Director to lead a growing and dynamic organization. The Executive Director will oversee all aspects of the organization, including strategic planning, resource and program development, partnership building, and financial management. This role requires a passionate leader who can inspire others, drive organizational growth, and ensure the sustainability and effectiveness of our unique programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Management

o Provide strategic direction and leadership to the organization.

o Oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring effective and efficient functioning.

o Manage and support staff, volunteers, and interns.

o Foster a positive, collaborative, and inclusive organizational culture.

• Resource Development & Financial Management

o Develop and implement resource development strategies to secure financial support from various public and private sources.

o Prepare and manage the annual budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and sustainability.

o Cultivate relationships with donors, sponsors, and grant-making agencies.

• Program Development & Oversight

o Ensure the development, implementation, and evaluation of high-quality programs.

o Collaborate with staff and stakeholders to identify and address community needs.

o Monitor program outcomes and make data-driven decisions to enhance impact.

• Partnership Building & Advocacy

o Serve as the primary spokesperson and advocate for the organization.

o Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, sponsors, and investors.

o Promote HOSA's vision, mission, and program of work through various communication channels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business administration, education, or related field (master's degree preferred).

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership role within a 501c3 organization.

• Proven track record in developing partnerships, sponsorships, and investors.

• Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and financial reporting.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

• Passion for the mission of a career and technical student organization serving the health industry, providing a pipeline of future health professionals in middle school, high school, 2-year colleges, and 4-year universities pursuing various clinical and non-clinical degrees and certifications.

• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and build strong global partnerships to implement HOSA chapters and resilient chartered associations in the USA, territories, and countries worldwide.
