Summary of Functions
The Director of Quality ensures that the organization’s products and services meet the company’s quality requirements, as well as customer and regulatory requirements for quality, safety, and reliability.

Preferred Education and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in quality or a relevant field of science.
· Master’s degree a plus.
· Experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control/ Quality Management.
· Demonstrated success in strategic leadership with problem resolution teams.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary, as well as great attention to detail.
· Effective interpersonal skills; able to negotiate and influence.
· Able to discuss topics at all levels (production floor to executives)
· The ideal candidate is certified in one or more quality-related disciplines (e.g., ASQ, CQA, CQE, CMQ/OE, PMP).
· Experience using SAP is a plus.
Organizational Relationships
The Director of Quality reports directly to the President. Supervises, trains, and assists all quality assurance and quality control personnel. Directs quality-related activities in conjunction with Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, Customer Service, and any other department/function that affects the quality of the organization’s goods or services.
