Job Description - Director of Quality Assurance

The Director of Quality Assurance is a leadership role responsible for leading the team that manages 365's quality assurance, production readiness and performance functions. This individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver the highest product quality. Oversight includes the entire 365 product line that our customers and operators interact with daily (self-checkout kiosks, smart coolers, vending machines) along with various web-based management portals that drive the client and consumer experiences inclusive of tools used in the warehouse by the operator and their employees to run their business. You will lead a team that seeks to execute on developing Test Strategies, Plans and selection of the best Tools to validate the functionality of 365 Retail Markets Products. This position will report directly to the Vice President of Software Development at 365 Retail Markets.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement quality assurance strategies: Create and execute comprehensive quality assurance plans to ensure the highest standards of quality across all retail operations.
Lead quality assurance team: Manage and mentor a team of quality assurance professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance and career development.
Establish quality standards and metrics: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and quality metrics to measure and monitor the effectiveness of quality assurance processes.
Conduct audits and inspections: Lead regular audits and inspections of products and services to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Drive continuous improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.
Manage supplier quality: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, implementing processes to monitor and improve supplier quality performance.
Resolve quality issues: Investigate and address customer complaints and quality issues in a timely and effective manner, implementing corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
Stay informed about industry trends: Keep abreast of industry developments and emerging trends in quality assurance practices, incorporating relevant advancements into company processes and procedures.
Dynamic leader : demonstrates a passion for leading teams in quality assurance of new/existing products that position 365 Retail Markets as the leader in foodservice and adjacent industries.
Collaboration : Foster an innovative culture within the Quality Assurance team. Partner closely with the Sales, Marketing and Support teams to provide product knowledge support and collaborate on improvements that would positively impact the revenue, product awareness and/or lessen the need for support.
Customer Empathy : Ability to Identify/understand customer pain points, the ability to listen when needed and accept feedback from our operator/consumers to improve upon the problems they face.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related fields or equivalent experience preferred
MBA is a plus
15+ years of QA experience
10+ years of experience leading QA teams, 5+ years in test automation
Proven track record of developing and implementing successful quality assurance strategies in a retail or consumer goods environment.
Strong knowledge in validating Credit card payment processing with variable network conditions
Experience utilizing network emulation techniques to troubleshoot variable network conditions for IoT products
Demonstrated success in bringing products to market
Full End-to-End experience testing throughout the SDLC
Think critically about existing processes and opportunities, generates bold, creative ideas, and exhibits problem solving, process improvement, analysis, and quick decision making
Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve excellence.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Solid understanding of quality management systems, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities autonomously
