The Opportunity
Tradebe is looking for a Director of Radioactive Operations to overseeand drive the profitability and growth of our Radioactive Line ofBusiness (LOB). This role encompasses P&L management, businessdevelopment, fieldwork oversight, and client consulting. The successfulcandidate will play a crucial role in enhancing operationalefficiencies, exploring sustainable solutions, and fostering vendorrelationships.
Key Job Responsibilities
Oversee the financial performance of Radioactive LOB, ensuringprofitability and growth
Collaborate with the sales team to identify and pursue new businessopportunities
Perform and supervise technical fieldwork and manage fieldwork crews
Provide expert consulting services in relation to radioactive wasteto clients across the United States
Conduct site visits, assessments, and radiation surveys tounderstand and address client needs
Aid in the preparation and completion of requests for bids andproposals
Manage radioactive recycling and processing activities, focusing onimproving efficiencies and business margins
Identify and implement new, sustainable outlets for managingradioactive materials
Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree in Health Physics, Physics, Nuclear Engineeringor related field required
Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in radiological materialsmanagement.
Experience as a Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) is preferred
Ability to perform fieldwork as needed; experience with radiometricmeasuring devices is required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the abilityto present and articulate the organizational value propositioneffectively
Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the UnitedStates to support the sales team and provide technical expertise
