Director of Reimbursement

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Reimbursement to join our senior living organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing reimbursement processes, ensuring compliance with regulations, and optimizing revenue cycles. This role requires strong leadership abilities and a deep understanding of reimbursement methodologies within the senior living sector.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement reimbursement strategies to maximize revenue and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.

- Monitor and analyze reimbursement trends and changes in policies affecting senior living facilities.

- Collaborate with finance, operations, and clinical teams to ensure accurate billing and coding practices.

- Provide training and support to staff on reimbursement processes and best practices.

- Prepare and present reports on reimbursement performance to senior management.

- Establish and maintain relationships with payers and regulatory agencies.

- Lead initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce reimbursement-related issues.

 Skills and Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in finance, healthcare administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in reimbursement or revenue cycle management, preferably in senior living or healthcare.

- Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and private payer reimbursement policies.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Proven leadership and team management abilities.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Proficiency in reimbursement software and electronic health record systems.
