Job Description
Colby Community College is accepting applications for a full-time Director of Residence and Student Life.
The Director of Residence and Student Life is a live-in position responsible for the overall leadership, administration and operation of a residential community on campus. The Director of Residence and Student Life serves as the judicial officer to provide comprehensive and direct oversight of the College’s student conduct system. The individual must also have the ability to cultivate a positive living and learning environment that promotes student success and development. An understanding of the importance of technology, integrity, innovative thinking, a sense of humor, and the ability to work as a team to increase enrollment and retention in a rural setting is necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree plus experience related to the position required.
- Residential life and supervisory experience required.
- Master’s degree in college student personnel, higher education administration, counseling or related field preferred.
- Student life/affairs experience preferred.
SALARY
$42,500 to $50,000, depending on credentials and experience.
- Apartment including all basic utilities and some furnishings (approximately a $12,000 value)
- 18 Meals per week (Approximately $3200 value)
Flexible benefits program includes options for single and family health and dental coverage, life insurance, reimbursement accounts, sick leave and vacation leave allowances, and 21 days of holiday pay. Participation in the state retirement program is required.

Colby Community College is located in northwest Kansas, approximately 50 miles from the Nebraska and Colorado borders. From a humble beginning of 99 students in 1964, CCC now serves more than 2,000 students annually.
In addition to a 57-acre main campus, a 60-acre farm is used as a hands-on laboratory and training facility. The College also accommodates hundreds of off-campus students through face-to-face, online, and hybrid courses.
