Job Description - Director of Sales & Marketing

Director of Sales & Marketing
Reports to General Manager



About Your Role
As the Director of Sales and Marketing, you will play a key role in leadership, primarily responsible for driving revenue growth and brand awareness. You’ll wear many hats and will manage the team of sales and marketing professionals in order to meet and exceed company objectives.



What's a Typical Day Look Like?Your day typically starts with reviewing sales and marketing performance metrics, followed by checking in with your team. You'll spend time analyzing market trends, developing integrated strategies, and overseeing both customer relationships and marketing campaigns. Regular strategy sessions with the leadership team keep sales and marketing initiatives aligned with company goals.



What You'll Do
Your duties include, but are not limited to:



  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute innovative sales and marketing strategies aligned with company objectives to drive growth and brand awareness.

  • Team Development: Build, mentor, and empower a high-performing sales and marketing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.

  • Revenue Growth & Performance Management: Set clear sales targets, quotas, and performance metrics, ensuring the team consistently meets or exceeds goals.

  • Market Expansion & Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with key customers, strategic partners, and industry influencers to expand market share.

  • Brand & Marketing Strategy: Oversee the development of multi-channel marketing campaigns (digital, social, content, events) to enhance brand visibility and lead generation.

  • Sales Enablement & Process Optimization: Implement best-in-class sales processes, CRM systems, and tools to improve efficiency, tracking, and conversion rates.

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze market trends, sales data, and competitive insights to refine strategies and capitalize on new opportunities.

  • Financial Oversight: Develop and manage budgets for both sales and marketing initiatives, ensuring cost-effectiveness and ROI-driven decision-making.

  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Align sales and marketing efforts with operations, product development, and other teams to enhance the overall customer experience.

  • Contract & Negotiation Leadership: Lead negotiations for major accounts, partnerships, and high-value contracts to secure long-term business growth.


What We're Looking For
You are a dynamic Sales & Marketing leader who possesses the following qualities:



  • 7+ years of progressive experience, with 3+ years in sales and marketing leadership

  • Developed a track record of exceeding revenue targets and growing market share

  • Experienced in building and leading integrated sales and marketing teams

  • Strong understanding of the event rental, hospitality, or related industries

  • Excellence in strategic planning and execution

  • Outstanding presentation and negotiation skills

  • Deep knowledge of sales and marketing technologies

  • Experience with CRM systems and digital platforms, specifically HubSpot

  • Strong analytical and financial acumen

  • Exceptional relationship-building abilities

  • Experience with both B2B and B2C environments

  • Strong digital marketing and social media expertise

  • Data-driven approach to decision making
