Our Values at Gameday Social
Grit | We’re hungry, we hustle, we pivot. We’re still at the stage where everyone has to pitch in at the warehouse on occasion. No egos.
Pursuing excellence | Getting better every day- moving swiftly when adjustments need to be made.
Team orientation | We view our coworkers, customers and vendors as partners. Transparent and cross-functional is how we work.
Boldly innovative | We didn’t get here with a “this is how it’s done” mindset. We welcome ideas, creativity and we embrace obstacles as opportunities.
Nimble | Our ability to chase trends and move quickly has led to our success, but also means very little is concrete. We aim to preserve this agility as we grow and look for people who can thrive when things are moving quickly.
Our Team & Success | Gameday Social is a South Dakota based fashion brand- for women, by women. Founded by Jael Thorpe in 2021, and an officially certified woman-owned company, we aim to “elevate the social fan experience through licensed collaborations.” We have grown rapidly through innovative design, outstanding quality and developing key retailer and licensing relationships across the country.
Role Overview
You'll own revenue growth and brand amplification for our high growth company. This is a builder and a leader: you set the plan for strategic accounts, join account managers for strategic account meetings with confidence, and direct a marketing team that turns our brand story into retailer sell-through metrics. You can step into any retailer meeting in the CEO's place and carry the same message. You know our customer because you live the game day lifestyle and love the product.
You’ll lead our account management (sales) and marketing teams, working across every part of the business at the pace of a brand built where fashion meets sports. You’ll report directly to our Founder & CEO, so expect to move fast and keep up with someone who moves faster
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales and Account Growth
- Own an annual revenue target and growth roadmap for each strategic account, and present the plan to leadership for feedback.
- Join account managers for strategic buyer meetings and line reviews. Bring curated recommendations — core styles, proven winners, where to expand — not just a catalog.
- Build relationships with new and existing retailers- both buyers and marketers, supporting retailers with assets that improve turnover.
- Strategize available-to-ship and slow-moving inventory through existing accounts and new channels (off-price, marketplaces, wholesale platforms).
- Own the quality and expansion of wholesale and marketplace channels internal and third party like Faire, TikTok Shop, etc.
- Coach and develop account managers to run their accounts with ownership.
2. Marketing and Brand
- Set the marketing strategy and calendar; give the team clear plans to execute.
- Develop retailer marketing program strategy — in-store signage, promotional assets and sell-in materials for retail partners and sales reps — ahead of each launch.
- Turn licensing partnerships and collaborations into full brand stories, and bring leadership into high-value opportunities early.
- Build brand preference so shoppers choose Gameday Social, not just a style.
- Work closely with Product and Merchandising on go-to-market for every collection, ensuring that retailers have brand assets promptly and launches are prepared before product arrives.
