Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Sales to lead our sales team and drive revenue growth at Warwick Hotel Rittenhouse Square. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in hotel sales, exceptional leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the hospitality industry. This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the continued success and expansion of our brand in the Philadelphia market.

Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and increase market share. Continuously analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.

Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales professionals to deliver exceptional results. Provide guidance, support, and ongoing training to ensure the team is equipped with the necessary skills and resources to succeed.

Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, event planners, and other key stakeholders. Leverage existing networks and cultivate new partnerships to drive business opportunities.

Revenue Optimization: Implement effective pricing strategies and promotional initiatives to maximize revenue across all revenue streams, including rooms, meetings, events, and ancillary services.

Sales Collateral: Oversee the development of sales collateral, presentations, and proposals to effectively showcase the hotel's offerings and value proposition to potential clients.

Forecasting and Reporting: Monitor sales performance against targets and provide regular reports and forecasts to senior management. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measures as needed.

Event Management: Collaborate with the events team to ensure seamless execution of meetings, conferences, and special events. Liaise with clients throughout the planning process to ensure their needs are met and expectations exceeded.

Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, customer preferences, and competitive strengths and weaknesses. Use insights to inform strategic decision-making and enhance the hotel's competitive positioning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in hotel sales, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a customer-centric approach to sales and marketing.
  • Proficiency in sales management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required.
