Job Title: Director of Standardized Patient Training and Medical Education Simulation
Department: Baptist College of Osteopathic Medicine/Department of Academic Affairs
Job Summary:
The Director of Standardized Patient training and Medical Education Simulation will support Baptist University College of Osteopathic Medicine (BUCOM) faculty and students participating in healthcare simulation with the goal of producing competent and holistic physicians. Work with BUCOM faculty to design instructional experiences that support the mission and goals of the College and University. Manages the BUCOM simulation/standardized patient program, facilities operations, scheduling and logistics for all learning and assessment events in the simulation and standardized patient center. Under the general direction of the Assistant Dean of Administration, Operations, and Services, responsible for 8 hours/day, 5 days/week. Incumbents are subject to hours beyond the normal workday.

Licensure, Registration, Certification
| Bachelor’s degree in a health sciences discipline or a bachelor’s degree in education with a focus on post-secondary education.
Three (3) years of leadership experience in an academic medical school environment, specifically supporting simulation and/or standardized patient programs. (Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) or Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist (CHSOS) certification may be considered in lieu of some experience when accompanied by relevant professional background.)
Demonstrated knowledge of medical simulation technologies, including server-based systems, IP technologies, and interprofessional education (IPE/IPEC) competencies.
Strong time management, organizational, and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced academic environment. |
