The company’s business operations are in New York, Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., Chicago, and Las Vegas.

Job Overview

The Director of Talent & Booking leads all guest strategy, bookings, and talent relations for Schwab Network, ensuring the network consistently features high-impact voices, market-moving perspectives, and a diverse range of experts across its live and digital programming. This role oversees the full lifecycle of guest sourcing—from relationship development and outreach to preparation, logistics, and on-air execution—while partnering closely with editorial, programming, and production leadership to align bookings with the network’s strategic goals.

The Director manages a team of bookers and segment producers, sets the editorial bar for guest quality, and builds a world-class roster of analysts, CEOs, policymakers, economists, traders, and influential market voices. This role requires exceptional communication skills, deep industry relationships, and the ability to operate in a fast-moving environment where accuracy, speed, and judgment are critical. By elevating the caliber of guests and seamlessly coordinating the booking pipeline, the Director of Talent & Booking plays a central role in shaping the network’s editorial authority and audience growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute Schwab Network’s booking strategy to support live shows, breaking news, digital franchises, and special coverage.

  • Proactively identify emerging voices, market influencers, and subject-matter experts relevant to traders and investors.

  • Partner with show EPs, senior producers, and editorial leadership to align guests with market drivers, editorial themes, and tentpole events.

  • Ensure all guests meet Schwab Network’s standards for credibility, relevance, clarity, and diversity of perspective.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with analysts, CEOs, economists, fund managers, policymakers, think tanks, research firms, PR agencies, and corporate communications leaders.

  • Represent the network externally at industry events to scout and cultivate new talent.

  • Create a strong pipeline of recurring contributors and exclusive voices for the network.

  • Lead and mentor a team of bookers, segment producers, and coordination staff.

  • Oversee daily editorial meetings to pitch, confirm, and finalize guest lineups.

  • Ensure timely pre-interviewing, briefing docs, segment prep, and communication with anchors and producers.

  • Maintain high editorial and ethical standards in all booking decisions.

  • Ensure accuracy of guest credentials, disclosures, and conflicts of interest.

  • Uphold the network’s tone: credible, actionable, timely, and investor focused.

Qualifications

  • 7–12+ years of experience in booking, editorial, or talent management—preferably in business, financial news, or major news networks.

  • Existing network of industry relationships across Wall Street, corporate comms, policymaking, and financial media.

  • Strong editorial instincts and deep understanding of markets, economics, and breaking news cycles.

  • Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced newsroom environment.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience working with anchors, producers, publicists, PR firms, and corporate executives.

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple bookings simultaneously against tight deadlines.

  • Comfortable interacting with C-suite leaders, VIPs, and high-profile guests.
