The Director of Teaching and Learning is responsible for working closely with organizational leaders and the Teaching and Learning Specialist to lead the development of the curriculum and professional development (PD) program in line with best practice educational standards. IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE 

• Master’s Degree in Education Administration.
• 5 years experience in teaching and 3 years in leadership.
• Experience working with a sensitivity to unique and multicultural perspectives.
• Understands standards-based learning.
• Detail oriented and able to synthesize information and turn it into practical steps.
• Ability to plan, organize, execute, and evaluate in a broad range of educational settings, including strategic planning, teacher development and curricular development.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Educate, train and mentor teammates regarding curriculum, assessment, and instruction planning and implementation.
• Assist schools in the development, implementation, evaluation and revision of shared EC–12 curriculum as well as advice on budgets.
• Facilitate curriculum-related teams or committees.
• Maintain and safely share curriculum and PD documents and curriculum-related resources.
• Maintains and updates a list of experts for training and support.
• Organize organizational conferences.
• Serves as point person for University Partnerships.
