Director of Testing , EL and GT Programs

Position:  Director of Testing and EL, GT Programs
Department/Campus: District

Reports to: Chief of Academics

Work Hours / Days: Normal School hours / 215 days

JOB GOAL:
Serves to ensure compliance and success with all testing, GT, and EL programs across the district.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
 Bachelor’s Degree

 School or district testing coordinator experience(required)

 2 years of admin experience(required)

 Valid OK Educator Certification(preferred)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversees the district testing program and makes recommendations to the administration to ensure full compliance with federal and state regulations.
Oversees the district program for gifted and talented students.
Oversee and coordinate the district program for Bilingual and EL students.
Acts as the district liaison to communicate testing procedures with people or organizations outside of the district.
Frequently updates and makes recommendations to the administration and staff to improve testing success.
Submits data for federal, state or local mandated reports as related to students and staff.
Attends workshops and professional conferences to continuously administer the improvement of testing programs.
Monitor and make recommendations to administration with any change to local test instruments or procedures.
Organize, maintain, communicate and publish testing data as needed or requested for the staff or public.
Respond to information requests in a cooperative, courteous, and timely manner.
Perform other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral forms with all levels of management, both internal and external to the district.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships both internal and external to the district.

Ability to organize special programs for assigned campuses.

Ability to use computer, including software, database used by the district, spreadsheet, and word processing software, calculator, copy machine, and telephone.

Ability to analyze data

Ability to use effective interview techniques, effective public speaking skills, and problem-solving skills
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Light Work: may require occasional light lifting.

Nights and weekend activities will be occasionally required.

Position is in office setting and may involve prolonged work at a desk in one location.

Moderate travel is required
