JOB DESCRIPTION: The Director of Warehouse Services will be responsible for the 3PLs warehousing and logistical functions of the business. Driving initiatives to optimize efficiency in the warehousing and distribution functions of the company. This role would report directly to the Executive leadership of the company and would have full control and responsibility for these functions with the goal of managing to ensure complete customer satisfaction and maintain company profitability.
Duties & Responsibilities: ·
Lead national 3PL selecting reviews & due diligence tours. ·
Proficiency in warehouse/logistics software WMS review & development for AJWW ·
Warehouse mapping & optimization ·
Own 3PL warehouse agreements ·
Strong knowledge of warehousing liability insurance/ contract review and approval ·
Define SLAs in conjunction with sales and compose client SOPs. ·
Meet accuracy and timeliness targets set by management. ·
Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements. ·
Strategically locate and acquire 3PL warehouses. ·
Setup warehouse layout and ensure efficient space utilization. ·
Manage warehouse equipment leases. ·
Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security ·
Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided. ·
Lead company food grade accreditations for FDA and NSF audits. ·
Claims management for carriers and customer.
Required Skills & Abilities: ·
Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills. ·
Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects. ·
Knowledge of laws, regulations food grade certification requirements will be very helpful ·
Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes. ·
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills ·
Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices ·
Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives. ·
Strong decision making and problem-solving skills. ·
