Director of Web Development

Leadgenix is seeking an experienced Director of Web Development to lead our website development operations and drive the success of our digital marketing agency. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our web development department while working with and influencing our technologies and processes.

What You'll Do

As our Director of Web Development, you'll oversee the creation of SEO-optimized websites that help our clients grow their businesses. You'll manage a team of developers, coordinate with multiple departments, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Project Delivery (40%)

• Manage 4-5 concurrent website new builds from kickoff to launch


• Manage existing client website updates in a timely manner.


• Execute our 7-stage development process


• Conduct client discovery sessions using our strategic framework


• Ensure projects meet our 30-45 day timeline targets


• Keep projects moving along through proactive client outreach.


• Coordinate seamlessly between sales, development, SEO, and account management teams

Drive Technical Excellence (30%)

• Oversee WordPress development using modern tools (Bricks Builder, ACSS, MetaBox)


• Maintain legacy Duda sites and execute platform migrations


• Implement SEO technical requirements and third-party integrations


• Champion best practices and quality standards across all projects

Build & Lead Your Team (20%)

• Manage and mentor a team of 2 outsourced resources


• Establish and maintain SLAs for different priority levels


• Foster collaboration with SEO and account management teams


• Develop team capabilities in both WordPress and Duda platforms

Shape Strategy & Operations (10%)

• Track KPIs including monthly launch targets (4-5 sites)


• Manage department P&L within budget allocation


• Develop automation and templates to improve efficiency


• Drive innovation using AI tools like ChatGPT for competitive analysis

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of WordPress development experience


• 2+ years managing development projects in an agency setting


• Expert knowledge of WordPress architecture and modern builders


• Experience with both Duda and WordPress platforms


• Proven ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously


• Strong DevOps skills a plus (Linux, server management, DNS)

Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Experience with Bricks Builder or similar modern page builders


• Background in SEO-optimized web development


• Client-facing communication skills


• Experience with project management tools (ClickUp preferred)


• Ability to work independently while collaborating with remote teams


• Ability to play a dual role as the designer and developer.
