Responsibilities:
- Together with internal stakeholders and senior Clinical Operations leadership, develop and evolve R&R tools and best practices.
- Collaborate to incorporate patient perspectives and insights into decision-making processes and clinical program and trial planning and execution. This may include assisting in the design of Patient Advisory Group activities (surveys, meetings, etc).
- Lead the development and design recruitment and retention strategies appropriate for the indication, study design, geography and study phase.
- Support and educate stakeholders on options for patient recruitment and retention.
- Collaborate with teams and individuals supporting trial planning and conduct to ensure robust implementation of tactics and tools to meet the needs of our clinical sites.
- Actively manage R&R vendors to ensure the conduct and delivery of services in accordance with contractual requirements, organizational and patient and career needs.
- Propose and implement metrics/analytics/KPIs to track engagements and performance of clinical trial recruitment and retention efforts. Collaborate with leadership and the organization on reporting.
- Champion diversity enrollment and enrichment efforts to attract broad patient populations-for example, people of different races, ethnic groups, sex/genders, and ages.
- Establish and evolve expertise on industry and patient best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in a life-science, scientific discipline, medical and / or communication or business studies.
- Minimum of 10 years industry experience in biotech/pharma, CRO or relevant vendor settings with a minimum of 5 years direct experience in patient recruitment, engagement and trial optimization planning in addition to a minimum of 5 years’ experience across a broad range of therapeutic areas in clinical operations and strategy settings.
- Data driven mindset including the ability to access and interpret disease related data and information to inform planning.
- Experience identifying and managing niche R&R service providers, developing and overseeing reporting to proactively manage performance and return on investment (ROI).
- Excellent written and spoken language communication skills. Ability to produce high quality reports, project plans and presentations
- Well-developed negotiation skills with the ability to liaise successfully with senior management, clinical project teams, as well as to influence and present to both small and large groups.
- Highly developed organizational, problem solving and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize time-sensitive tasks and work independently, and to make decision and to progress projects.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully deliver in a fast paced and fluid settings with complex stakeholder networks.
- Specific therapeutic experience in Neurology and Ophthalmology is desirable.
