You will:
- Be a culture carrier – create an inviting and productive office environment. Plan company happy hours and events, and work to create a fun and supportive team environment
- Manage the full cycle recruiting process and recruit top talent into the company
- Serve as a trusted resource for employees and act as the first point of contact for any employee questions or concerns
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all office-related inquiries from the team
- Own the onboarding and offboarding process including account provisioning and IT support
- Manage the day-to-day relationship with our PEO provider as well as all associated administrative tasks
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal HR compliance, including completing required tasks, developing policies, owning the company handbook, etc
- Manage our benefits and perks programs
- Run our annual performance management and compensation review processes
- Create effective and engaging learning and development programs (eg new manager training)
- Perform ad hoc tasks as needed
The ideal candidate:
- Has 5-7+ years of experience in People Operations, including 2-3 years in a startup environment
- Has 2-4 years direct Recruiting experience
- Is a true generalist and has experience in most if not all aspects of HR
- Is trustworthy, discerning and capable of handling sensitive conversations and information
- Knows how to operate in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and manage multiple priorities
- Is emotionally intelligent, empathetic and has strong relationship building skills
- Has excellent communication skills and doesn’t shy away from difficult conversations
- Is familiar with HR best practices, as well as legal and compliance issues likely to be encountered at a company of our size
- Is a strong project manager who gets stuff done
- Can operate at both the strategic and tactical levels, and is not afraid to get their hands dirty
